Who Am I?

Who Am I?
Well, I guess you could say that I am stark, raving mad! A lunatic of course, obviously. Because only a lunatic would compete in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) four years in a row, not win any of them and still be determined to win. I am mad. That is the only, true explaination for this. 285, 408 novelists, myself included, are entirely mad. You see, that is how many people are competing in NaNoWriMo this month.

What exactly is NaNoWriMo you may be asking. Well, I'll tell ya. NaNoWriMo is a non-profit organization that is entirely web based and designed to help youths who are aspiring to be authors or novelists. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to sit down and actually work on your novel. You see, this is my greatest problem. I can not sit down and actually make myself write on my novel-or novels rather. See, I always start them all, but I rarely finish them. However, this year I am determined. I will win this year and I am not taking no for an answer. The goal is to get 50,000 words written by November 30th. This doesn't mean that you actual have to have your novel finished by the 30th, no. You merely have to sit down and pound out 50,000 words. It's mad, right?

I am not alone. All you have to do is look on twitter and you will see all of the people intent on reaching this one goal. This is world-wide, and I am proud to be apart of it. It's only Day 6 in the NaNoWriMo challenge, and DEFINITELY not too late to catch up. If you're interested, check it out. http://www.nanowrimo.org is the website and it is free. Yes, Free! All you have to do is sit down and write. So far, I am almost to 14,000 words on my novel and it is only Day 6. There is still time. I may actually win this year and I have all of the lovely folks on Twitter to thank! Writers are such lovely and kind people. Also some of the most creative. We're all in this as a team, all working towards the same goal; aspiring to the same dream. C'mon and join the fray! We'd love to have you! If you do decide to come, feel free to hit me up on Twitter where all of the action goes down @lizzyjharper14  is my username!
